    Before the procedure 

    • The upper arm is examined and marked 
    • The skin is cleaned thoroughly 
    • Local anaesthetic is injected to numb the area completely 

    During the procedure 

    • A small applicator places the implant just under the skin 
    • The procedure takes only a few minutes 
    • A small dressing is applied afterwards

    During removal 

    • A tiny incision is made over the implant 
    • The implant is gently removed 
    • A steri-strip and dressing are applied 

    After the procedure 

    • Mild bruising or tenderness for 24–48 hours 
    • You can return to normal activities the same day 
    • Keep the dressing dry for 24 hours 
    • Light arm discomfort is normal and temporary
